Customer Service - Bill Payment
The Town’s fiscal year runs from May 1 through April 30 and property tax bills are issued in early May of each year. Taxes may be paid as late as August 31 without penalty – after this date a late fee of 1.5% will be added each month on any unpaid balance.
The property owner is responsible for ensuring that taxes are paid timely each year. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility for timely payment or constitute cause for cancellation of penalties.
Property owners may have their annual taxes paid out of escrow accounts by a mortgage lender. If you have a question regarding the status of your escrow accounts or tax payments you should contact your lender or contact the Town finance department.
Online, electronic payments can now be made through the Town website. These payments are processed through a third-party vendor and can be made with Credit or Debit Cards or through your checking account by ACH or e-check. The Town accepts payments by cash, check, or money order. By mail, payments should be addressed to:
To pay in person, the administrative office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. The office is on the second floor of the Municipal Building located at 201 Central Avenue. For your convenience, a payment drop box is located by the rear door of the Municipal Building. Cash payments should not be placed in the drop box.
